  • FUNCTION: Catalyzes the oxidation of glycerol to glycerone. Also acts, more slowly, on a number of other polyols including D-sorbitol, D-arabinitol, D-mannitol, meso-erythritol, adonitol and propylene glycol.
  • CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: Glycerol + acceptor = glycerone + reduced acceptor.
